FITNESS & FUN
You don’t need a gym membership when you live on Kawana Island!
The island has a substantial walking/running/cycling track that surrounds the island, covering approximately 7.5 kilometres in total, ideal for a morning or afternoon workout.
In addition, you’ll find two parks on Kawana Island that have outdoor fitness equipment available, with easy access.
If you enjoy water sports, throw a kayak or ski in on either the Mooloolah River side, or you’ll find steps directly off the boardwalk on the Parrearra Channel/Lake, allowing you to explore the area, with access out to the Mooloolah River mouth.
The parks are perfect for the kids to fly a kite, kick the football around, or exercise with your dog.
DINING OUT
At Kawana Island, we are lucky to have two of the Sunshine Coast’s favourite dining spots right on our doorstep.
Green Zebra Restaurant is well known for its fabulous lunch and dinner meals, and perfect for a celebration of any kind, overlooking Double Bay.
Or you can visit Vrina Mezze Bar for a relaxing meal or drink with friends, enjoying the live weekend music and fantastic cocktail and tapas selection.
COMMUNITY
Locals can take advantage of the opportunity to hire the Kawana Island Meeting Place, located at Double Bay. The Community Meeting Place offers modern facilities ideal for meetings, small seminars or training, or other events.
