We are pleased to report that Council is just about to commence work on provision of new gym equipment at Double Bay and we are in the final stages of negotiation regarding the type of equipment to be installed.
Island Park
Sadly we must report that Council wishes to take away the shade structure at the children’s playground due to non-compliance and replace it with some sort of unspecified tree shade. KIRA remains puzzled by this and has made strong representation to Cr Connolly for satisfactory resolution. In addition, KIRA has also queried whether the existing facilities are actually fit for purpose for small children who are the primary users
Half-Basketball Court
Council reported that the installation of a half-basketball court on Grand Parade should be completed in time for summer.
