Kawana Island Neighbourhood Community

About the KIRA Neighbour initiative.

Kawana Island is known as a small, caring and tight-knit community.
We tend to come together when we need to discuss and resolve any issues that may effect our local suburb and surrounding infrastructure, and work well together to create a harmonious environment.

The community events KIRA run a few times annually is another way we work toward brining our community together.

However, it is easy to forget or even be aware of our fellow residents that may from time to time require our assistance, and as a community we would like to think we are there for each other.

KIRA has created the Neighbour Assistance Card to help us reach out to our fellow neighbours and let them know we are all there if they need assistance.

It could be to help them maintain their lawn, pick up their groceries, put their bins out, or just enjoy a friendly cuppa with them when they need a friend.

Can you help?

If you would like to reach out to your neighbours, download and print out the attached KIRA Neighbour Assistance Card, outlining how you might possibly be able to assist, and simply place it in their letterbox.

All Kawana Island members of the community are also invited to sit in on our monthly KIRA committee meetings and provide any suggestions on how you could help us maintain the amazing community we have.
