Kawana Island Residents Association (KIRA) is pleased to announce that the Dog off-leash area at Grand Parade (near Lock & Weir Park) commenced on Monday 16th March 2020.
Works are expected to to take approximately six weeks and will include connection paths, dog bowl and taps, chain wire fence, access gates and park benches Kwanah Island residents association appreciate Sunshine Coast Council’s support in making this much-needed and much-requested amenity for Kawana Island possible.
Residents are reminded that all other areas of Kawana Island are on-leash areas including walkways and parks, which are regularly patrolled.
On the spot fines of up to $261.10 apply if caught breaking this law.
